Description Thomas Wielatt 2023-04-24 14:15:35 UTC
Description:
As a teacher for physics I'd like to summarize formulas at the blank margin beside the text.
When I insert one or multiple pages at the beginning of the document, all the texts ankered at the pages are shifted, but the formulas aren't.

Second Bug: Page-ankered texts or formulas don't work at all using a global document.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. create a writer document
2. increase left margin to 5 cm
3. insert at page 1,2,3 texts and formulas
4. anker the texts and formulas to the page and position them at the blank margin
5. insert one or more pages at the beginning

Actual Results:
The texts are shifted, the formulas are misplaced

Expected Results:
the texts and the formulas remain at the corresponding page and position.

Reproducible: Always

This is *not* a bug.

Anchored to page means not related to the content, and physically bound to a Nth page of the document, regardless of where your content goes.

What you needed is not anchoring to page, but normal anchoring to content (paragraph/character), and proper *positioning*. See the FAQ [1].
