Trying to filter empty

The functionality to filter empty cells is not working anymore after upgrading my LibreOffice to version 7.4.6.2. I noticed that it has to do with the setting in calc: "Search criteria = and <> must apply to whole cells"

I used to have that setting always disabled and filtering for empty worked anyway.

IDK which exactly is supposed to be the expected behavior when menu Tools > LibreOffice Calc > Calculate > "Search criteria = and <> must apply to whole cells" is unticked / OFF regarding Autofilter empty cells.

Whichever the case, I can repro when that setting is OFF with LO 7.4.6.2.

Under these conditions, Autofilter "empty" cells (checkbox marked, some other items may or may not be) results in hiding, not showing, the empty blank cells.

Autofilter works as expected with the "Search criteria = and <> must apply to whole cells" setting checked ON.

Is your "Search criteria = and <> must apply to whole cells" OFF or ON?


For me it is also repro in LO 7.6.alpha on Windows, with that setting OFF.
