Testing with excel, it allows notes, what are saved an open fine with LibreOffice.

Microsoft® Excel® para Microsoft 365 MSO (versión 2304 compilación 16.0.16327.20200) de 64 bits, there are two options, one to add comments and one to add notes.
But now allowed saving the comments in xls format.

Already missing in OOo 3.3.

Also reproduced in recent master build:

Version: (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community
Build ID: 83b1f6b58a30bdb589e9ce73deef39f021aebde1
CPU threads: 8; OS: Linux 5.15; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3
Locale: en-AU (en_AU.UTF-8); UI: en-US
Calc: threaded

OnlyOffice does show them, using:

ONLYOFFICE Desktop Editors version (flatpak)

If saved to XLSX from OnlyOffice, comments can then be seen in LO.

ebsoft, how exactly did you add the comments/notes in Excel?
