Description Mike Kaganski 2023-05-18 16:21:59 UTC
The "Growing Liberty" Impress template has a normal "Thank you!" slide #12, with a "Growing Liberty by Budi Aryo @tokofoss" acknowledgement at the bottom. But after that, there is a "Fully Editable Icon Sets / by Garik Barseghyan from Pixabay" slide #13, with an URL at the bottom; overall, this last slide looks inappropriate here, either forgotten during preparation, or some kind of "advertising"/"promotion" of an unrelated product.

Right, although the link is not clickable.
Comment 3 Heiko Tietze 2023-05-22 05:56:59 UTC
Templates are taken from https://lumbung.libreoffice.id/ and I hesitate to modify and asked the Indonesian people on Telegram first.
Comment 4 Rania Amina 2023-05-22 07:55:53 UTC
I think it's not promoting or advertising, it just credit or attribution to original creator to appreciate the work (in this case icon creator).

No worry to edit and make the template better, since the template is published under CC-BY-SA 4.0.
Comment 5 Mike Kaganski 2023-05-22 07:57:52 UTC
(In reply to Rania Amina from comment #4)

A credit or attribution should not look like advertising. Cf.:

> Icons by Garik Barseghyan

to

> Fully Editable Icon Sets / by Garik Barseghyan from Pixabay
Comment 6 Mike Kaganski 2023-05-22 07:58:52 UTC
And that credit should not take a separate page with samples of icons; it should take another line on the slide 12.
Comment 7 Laurent Balland 2023-05-22 08:11:38 UTC
From my point of view, slide 13 may be kept, without the URL and credit should be simplified to: "Fully editable icons set by Garik Barseghyan", as these icons are used in the template. It may be useful to gather them at the same place (even if it would better fit in Gallery).
Comment 8 Eyal Rozenberg 2023-05-31 20:45:21 UTC
I'm not sure an icon set belongs in a template. Especially since the icon set can be used with other templates. It's almost like a subset of a font which contains a lot of emoji; and if not that - a folder of monochromatic, vectorized clipart.

...

oh, that's right - it's extremely similar to what we have under Insert | Media | Gallery | Icons. Wouldn't it make more sense as a subfolder of Icons which the template uses?

(This makes me wonder whether we support document-specific gallery folders)
Comment 9 Heiko Tietze 2023-06-02 07:41:25 UTC
We discussed the topic in the design meeting. The majority of comments agree to remove the slide with icons, so let's do it.

The extracted template can be found at extras/source/templates/presnt/Growing_Liberty/
