Description Olav Seyfarth 2023-05-31 06:56:24 UTC
Description:
I created a SVG using Inkscape and used it in my slides. In impress, I applied some filters to it, then exported the slides to PDF. This works fine for "slide view". But in "notes view", the SVG is truncated (only half the image is visible, filters being applied correctly). Probably a viewport issue. I could reproduce it on Linux and on Mac using the latest release, always with that result.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. open the sample ODP provided below
2. export slides (only), then notes (only)
3. inspect exported PDFs

Actual Results:
Image is truncated in Notes view

Expected Results:
Image should be fully shown, like in slides view

Reproducible: Always

Thanks for reporting the bug. If you could clarify a couple of things it would help in trying to reproduce the bug. What are the exact steps used to export? How exactly are you inspecting the PDF's? I have set the bug's status to 'NEEDINFO'. Please change it back to 'UNCONFIRMED' once the steps are provided.

I exported using File → Export as… → Export as PDF using Lossless or JPEG (doesn't make any difference since it's vector graphics), with "Export notes" and "Export notes only".

I verified by viewing the PDF using Okular, Evince, MasterPDF and Firefox.

I was able to reproduce the bug in:

Version: 7.5.2.2 (X86_64)
Build ID: 50(Build:2)
CPU threads: 1; OS: Linux 6.2; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3
Locale: en-US (en_US.UTF-8); UI: en-US
Calc: threaded

and

Version: 7.5.4.2 (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community
Build ID: 36ccfdc35048b057fd9854c757a8b67ec53977b6
CPU threads: 1; OS: Linux 6.2; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3
Locale: en-US (en_US.UTF-8); UI: en-US
Calc: threaded

I then tried the dev build and the bug did not reproduce:

Version: 7.6.0.0.alpha1+ (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community
Build ID: 7e3ddf1e5aae5e4e956495e3d86a8cbf6e251b5e
CPU threads: 1; OS: Linux 6.2; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3
Locale: en-US (en_US.UTF-8); UI: en-US
Calc: threaded

So it looks like its been fixed in the dev build? Searched for a duplicate but did not find anything that matched. Going to set status to New since the bug looks to be present in the current release versions.
