Bold, Italic, Underline, Strikethrough, subscript, supscript, paragraph, symbols and many more icons are gray which are unreadable on dark background.

Might be related to bug 127138 or bug 126933.
Can you please provide your version information copied from Help > About LibreOffice?

Let's assume a duplicate of bug 127138.

Having icon theme as automatic works. Not sure about what seems to be some Xfce appearance config thing in the gif.

Xfce uses gtk3, so the duplicate target could have stayed the same.
