Description Peter Donnelly 2023-07-06 01:44:04 UTC
Very large document.

At some point, LOW changed all my Footnotes into Endnotes, all by itself.

Using hover, I can see that they became (and remain) Endnotes which have Footnote formatting.

Because they really are now Endnotes, it is not possible to change them back to Footnotes using 'Tools / Footnotes and Endnotes'; either in the version I created the document in, or else with 7.4.2.3 Release

NOTE: the document was created in an earlier version (don't ask me which), but the problem remains.

Regardless, there should be a way to change an individual Footnote into an Endnote (or vice-versa) via a context menu on the applicable anchor; either within the document or else in the applicable Footnote or endnote

It's a huge document (thesis) so I haven't attached it.

If you are still able to, please test again opening the original file with the latest 7.5 version: https://www.libreoffice.org/download/download-libreoffice/
(7.4 won't see further releases)

If you can still see the issue, please share the original file with us so we can test in the same conditions.
Thank you!
