When I open any existing spreadsheet, the cursor shows a symbol (pouring paint tin) instead of an arrow and right clicking cannot be achieved. How can I return cursor to an arrow pointer.

We will need more details to identify a bug.

- Please make sure you are testing with a recent version
- try resetting your user profile
- if you can still reproduce, share you version information
- does it happen with all spreadsheets?

Looks like you are in "fill format mode".
I am not sure why it would persist between sessions, but if you need to turn it off, got to the Styles sidebar and click on the Fill Format Mode button.
