Description ksso 2023-07-19 17:53:02 UTC
Description:
this ain't a bug
when a border is added to a cell, the height of the row increases by default, but the other rows remain the same height, it looks weird
Is there a possibility of an option so that the row height does not change when adding a border?
There is the possibility of thinner borders (see attached video).
Thanks

Steps to Reproduce:
1.create a table
2.add a border to a cell
3.all the row increases the height

Actual Results:
the row with borders had greater height in comparison with rows without borders

Expected Results:
same height or customized height

Reproducible: Always

different height for cells with borders
Comment 2 Dieter 2023-08-05 15:43:35 UTC
Ksso, I've tested with a 3x3 table and top and buttom border (4,5 pt) in cell B2. Actual and expected behaviour: If "Fit to Size" is active in row height dialog, row height increases, if "Fit to Size" is unchected, row height remains the same.
Does this explain and perhaps solve your problem?

can not undo the change on the row height

can not undo the change on the row height (even with no border selection)
Comment 4 ksso 2023-09-20 01:44:02 UTC
now, if you select a row and check "no borders", the row changes its height, and this change cannot be undone, neither by removing the style, nor by copying the style of another row into the altered row, (only Ctrl Z, but then if it isn't consecutive commands you need to delete rows in order to make an acceptable table) nor by changing the paragraph style
by the way, where is located or the route to "Fit to Size" command?
Thank you

Tabel -> Size -> Row Height

So if you deselect "Fit to Size" and entr a certain value, change to borders doesn't affect row height. So for me current behaviour is the expected one.

So again my question: Does this solve your problem?

It still changes row height when put a border
Comment 8 ksso 2023-10-15 16:57:15 UTC
If I uncheck "ajuste dinámico", and aceptar
and the return, it still is selected, can't unselect it
Comment 9 ksso 2023-10-15 16:57:52 UTC
and then return to the same window I mean
Comment 10 ksso 2023-10-15 17:03:33 UTC
Well, I tried through behaviour of rows : change to fixed (tools, options)
and now it allows to uncheck the "ajuste dinamico"
and if I do this step (fit a row height), the table seems good, there is no issue with borders, thanks

I guess is just steps easier
