Description: I have a System 76 Kudu laptop with 16GB of ram and a 1TB hard drive. I use both the Mate desktop and the XFCE desktop. The problem with loading Libre Office is identical with all 3 computers. Well I no longer have the problem since I erased my hard drive and installed Linspire instead of Linux Mint. The problem seems to be with Linux Mint. I'm sure it is still a problem for people who use Linux Mint but I have resolved the problem for me at least. I attribute the problem to flatpack and snap. I have neither of those, so far, with Linspire and I am happy with that. I hope I never have any flatpacks or snap to deal with ever again.
