Double clicking on a chart in calc starts a new text box instead of openning the chart for editing.
Using a chart of data for a sheet in calc created in LO7.5.5 
A single click selcts the chart as expected.
Double click from unselected, a text box opens in the middle of the chart. It is not possible to edit the chart in any way.
Remedies tried: Repair of installlation. Starting in Safe Mode. Neither helped.

Reinstalled LO7.5.5 and problem remained. Went back to an old backup of the file and problem not there. 
RESULT - File had become corrupted recently, affecting chart components of the calc .ods file.
