Created attachment 189174 [details] CV Using attached files: CV.odt and List.ods in mail merge mode: Save Merged Documents → Save as a single document. No mater if we choose PDF or ODT, unwanted extra additional page will be inserted at the end of the document. This does not happen with a single large document, as it supposed to be, as well for individual documents. This does not happen with a single large document, as it should also with single documents.

Similar behavior we have in "Labels" mode. When printing all labels into single document via MS Print to PDF (I have not checked printing on paper). Attachments: Etykiety.odt Narzędzia0.odb Print all Labels by Microsoft Print to PDF.png Print all Labels.pdf

(In reply to Piotr Osada from comment #2) > Created attachment 189177 [details] > bug_156952-1_save_merged_documents.png > > Steps to reproduce. Piotr, I'm sorry, but I can't see steps to reproduce here. Please make them more clear: 1. Open attachment 189174 [details] 2. Tools -> Mail Merge Wizard ?????? .... Thank you => NEEDINFO
(In reply to Dieter from comment #11) > => NEEDINFO STEPS TO REGISTER AND LINK DATABASE 1) Open CV.odt (attachment 189174 [details]) 2) Edit -> Exchange Database... -> 3) Under 'Available Databases' section, click: 'Browse...' -> select "List.ods" file (attachment 189175 [details]) and click 'Open' 4) Once again, 'Available Databases' section -> 'List' database -> select 'Arkusz1' sheet -> and click 'Define' button. STEPS TO REPRODUCE BUG As in screenshot "bug_156952-1_save_merged_documents.png" (attachment 189177 [details]): 1) Click 'Save Merged Documents' in the additional database toolbar. 2) Choose 'Save as individual documents'. 3) Click the 'Save Documents' button. 4) Save as PDF. Result: PDF has an additional blank page with footer (the same for ODT). Other issues: Saving as a single large document produces PDF with 7 pages (that's how it should be), and ODT with also 7 pages, but the page counter displays an overall number of 13 pages.
Created attachment 189499 [details] Save Merged Documents ('print' result) 1) It looks like there is an unwanted paragraph (BLANK TEXT showed in navigator). 2) And the second thing is that after export by 'Save merged documents' paragraph is changed by LO without our knowledge to have page break. 3) Third thing is that exported documents by 'Save merged documents' are still linked with the database of 'mother document'/'mail merge document'. In my humble opinion, these documents should be unlinked. That is my intention of saving as separate documents (that they become independent).
[Automated Action] NeedInfo-To-Unconfirmed
I confirm it with steps from comment 12 and Version: 7.6.2.1 (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community Build ID: 56f7684011345957bbf33a7ee678afaf4d2ba333 CPU threads: 4; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 19045; UI render: Skia/Raster; VCL: win Locale: zh-TW (de_DE); UI: en-GB Calc: CL threaded Additional information Saving as a single large document gives correct result. Saving as individual odt-documents gives also wrong result
Dear Piotr Osada, To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today, LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed bugs which have not been touched for over a year. There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in getting confirmation that the bug is still present. If you have time, please do the following: Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/ If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. Please DO NOT Update the version field Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker) Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular meaning that is not appropriate in this case) If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a REGRESSION. To do so: 1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from https://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/ 2. Test your bug 3. Leave a comment with your results. 4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo'; 4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat: https://web.libera.chat/?settings=#libreoffice-qa Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone!
