Description Zerstreuter.Forum 2023-09-08 05:24:25 UTC
Improvement request:
Graphic objects such as circles or rectangles that are created in the document should be able to be specified not only in cm/mm but also in pixels. Also with consideration of DPI.

This becomes relevant when images are inserted into the shapes that should not be distorted if possible.

Alternatively, a checkbox would be conceivable that adapts the frame to the image.
Comment 1 Mike Kaganski 2023-09-08 05:52:50 UTC
There is no real pixel notion in the LibreOffice documents - they all operate with "paper" sizes, and object sizes *must not* change depending on the physical media - e.g., they *must not* change an apparent image size from ~3 inches to 1 inch, when showing it on non-HiDPI screen (96 PPI) vs. printing on a 300-DPI printer.

If you suggest this, then it is WONTFIX IMO. If you suggest something else, then please elaborate how this proposal should operate.
