Description Judi 2023-09-13 13:31:26 UTC
Description:
I was prompted to download the upgrade, and did. It appeared to install successfully, but when I went to open it, the software did nothing. Clicking on it elicited a brief "circling" response, but then nothing happened. I went in and tried to open an existing file (which I need to finish editing ASAP!) and same thing--little circle, but no boot.

Actual Results:
Click on LibreOffice. Nothing happens. Software doesn't open.

Expected Results:
Nothing. It didn't open. It won't open in Safe Mode, either.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: Yes

Additional Info:
I assume that it should have opened and let me edit my documents!

On which env are you? Windows, Linux, macOS, which version?

Also did you download LO from official website (https://www.libreoffice.org/download/download-libreoffice/) ?

I'm working in Windows 10.

I tried to delete this bug report after I finally got it to work.

I uninstalled it, re-installed it, then went to the "unistall/repair" option in the System Apps menu and selected "repair." I don't know what it did, but LibreOffice Writer then booted and let me update the document I was editing.
