Description Eyal Rozenberg 2023-09-14 22:36:19 UTC
The About-dialog's version information blurb mentions whether Calc is threaded or not. Now, that's fine - if I'm using Calc. But if I'm getting this information from another module - it absolutely doesn't matter if Calc is threaded or not. So, for non-Calc modules - don't say this, and don't copy it to the clipboard with the copy button. It just makes people have to cut out this spurious line after pasting it on bug pages.

No, I want to copy the full info from wherever. I don't want the extra burden to remember that I have to open Calc to copy the full info, when I update my browser pasting snippets.

And people should not cut out the line.

Why do you want this info about Calc when you're reporting the information about another module?

I want the info about Calc to be present at all times because I want to be able to use the same information in any context without jumping through hoops. There is no harm in having this info present in the pastes.
