1. Simply create a new .docx file and add a very basic table like 2x2 cells. 2. Add any numeric value in one of the cells (I've tried with letters and seems like the bug works with numbers only). Blue dot appears over the save icon because we made some changes. 3. Then save the file with Ctrl+S. The blue dot disappears because the file is correctly saved. 4. Just press arrow down to go to the bottom cell. There are no actual changes in the file, but the blue dot appears over the save icon. It is something small but very confusing as it makes users think did they make any changes or not. This behavior was not present in the previous 7.5.x versions.
Reproduced for DOCX but not ODT in: Version: 7.5.6.2 (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community Build ID: f654817fb68d6d4600d7d2f6b647e47729f55f15 CPU threads: 8; OS: Linux 5.15; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3 Locale: en-AU (en_AU.UTF-8); UI: en-US Calc: threaded And a recent master build: Version: 24.2.0.0.alpha0+ (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community Build ID: e472b5b557d2b43b41e488c83db2b188de499610 CPU threads: 8; OS: Linux 5.15; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3 Locale: en-AU (en_AU.UTF-8); UI: en-US Calc: threaded But also in 7.4.7.2 and 5.4.0.3 and 3.3.0, when saving as DOCX started. The change is visible in the undo history, it's a format change.
