version is actually 7.6.0.3 but i have encountered this issue with all versions i have used.
could only find one instance of a question on google re: a ttf font not working in spellcheck and the poster of the question was outright dismissed.
when i import a manuscript file, sometimes spellcheck works for the first third or so - red underlines visible - but no new spell checking is done as i type.
i can open a new document and deliberately misspell a line of text, and depending on the font selected, i will have some fonts underlined and some not.
i tried reinstalling a font, and it worked briefly in spellcheck, and then the gd program stopped spell checking again.
i have reset user profile, and made sure all proper language boxes and defaults are checked. all english language dictionaries that i need are installed. i am a published writer and i need a spellcheck that works. i guess i will just pay and get something good
