Description:
Word created docx opens with grey spaces instead of blank spaces.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open the attached docx
2. Notice grey spacing where we expect blank spacing
3.

Actual Results:
Spaces are colored grey

Expected Results:
Spaces are blank


Reproducible: Always

This does not appear to be a bug, but rather the expected behavior of Writer.

The fact that the spaces are marked in gray does not mean that they are printed in gray. Let's say that they are spaces that are so marked to indicate that they are not "normal" spaces.

Surely the text comes from an HTML file (a web page) and spaces in web pages are marked differently than in a text editor.

If you don't want the gray marks indicating the fields to be visible, just turn it off in the View > Field shadings menu.

You can also search for all those HTML spaces and replace them with "normal" spaces.
