Description Steve 2023-10-19 20:56:35 UTC
Description:
Suddenly now some odt and ods files require approximately 50 seconds to open. Problem repeats with some files, but not others. I'm using Windows 10 Home version 22H2 and newly installed LibreOffice 7.6.2.1. Same problem occurs with LO 7.6.0.3.

Actual Results:
Merely click on the file to open.

Expected Results:
Wait approximately 50 seconds for file to open. (Then save file as docx or xlsx to prevent problem in the future.)

Reproducible: Sometimes

User Profile Reset: Yes

Additional Info:
File should have opened instantly as normal.

Steve, do you have a disconnected / unavailable network printer? Can you remove any unavailable printer in the Windows settings, and then see if the issue is resolved? (Or alternatively, try opening Calc without being connected to to the network.)
I suspect something similar to bug 42673, although it's supposed to be Calc-only.

It is not Calc-only. Please see https://bz.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=34140, starting with 26th comment, where the initial idea about Calc-only was disqualified.
