Text entered in a textbox breaks at word boundaries. However, if the same text is a hyperlink - it breaks at the last insertable character. That's usually a poor choice. It's usually better to break at spaces, or slashes, for example.
Created attachment 190361 [details] Text box in a Writer document, space-separated words
Created attachment 190362 [details] Text box in an Impress document, expect break at slash
Seeing this with: Version: 24.2.0.0.alpha0+ (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community Build ID: 3161a6c351a2f5f70c0420ee8cccf2eb23de1ecf CPU threads: 4; OS: Linux 6.5; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3 Locale: he-IL (en_IL); UI: en-US but have also seen this with 7.6.0.3
Note we already have bug 40563 for Impress.
