# New User, not much technical background. When using JRE 21.0.1: Using Wizard in Forms, when you get to step 8 and activate radio button "Modify" and then hitting finish, the form disappears and you are redirected to the database. At the database there is no record of the Form being created. Using JRE 11.0.21: No issues.
@C : hello, you have reported this bug against LibreOffice on macOS. On macOS, LibreOffice usually requires a full JDK, not a JRE. The JDKs are generally installed in HD/Library/Java/JavaVirtualMachines For example: HD/Library/Java/JavaVirtualMachines/temurin-21.jdk which, in the above case, corresponds to the Eclipse Adoptium version of the JDK for macOS Silicon (aarch64). Could you indicate where you obtained the JRE in question from ? I can not reproduce this behaviour with a mysql database ODB file, when using the wizard to create a form based on a single table, with the temurin 21 JDK. Version: 7.6.2.1 (AARCH64) / LibreOffice Community Build ID: 56f7684011345957bbf33a7ee678afaf4d2ba333 CPU threads: 8; OS: Mac OS X 14.0; UI render: Skia/Raster; VCL: osx Locale: fr-FR (fr_FR.UTF-8); UI: fr-FR Calc: threaded Which kind of database are you using when creating the form via the wizard ?
(In reply to Alex Thurgood from comment #1) > I can not reproduce this behaviour with a mysql database ODB file, when > using the wizard to create a form based on a single table, with the temurin > 21 JDK. > When I click on "Modify" in the wizard, the form is opened for me in Form Design mode, and I can edit the field labels, the control sizes, etc, save them, and re-open the form in data entry mode with the changes saved.
