Description peter josvai 2023-11-06 08:52:33 UTC
Description:
you're writing and happen to press the spacebar..
and playfully won't release it...
and to your surprise you see that spaces keep going over the margin, and off the page... without stopping :)

Steps to Reproduce:
1. create a document and write a few characters, say, "aaaa" or "dfdsfdsfsdfs"
2. then press the spacebar
3.

Actual Results:
the spaces will keep going over the margin and off the page... without stopping

Expected Results:
spaces should "break" at the margin and continue in the next line below...

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
a few bits of additional info:

• "delete spaces at line ends" (in autocorrect option) is active

• spaces over the margin cannot be selected, but if you use the right arrow,
you can "travel" through them.. over the margin, off the page... and back, if you like

• if you have reached the end of the line, the cursor will continue in the next line below, like normal...

• if you want to place the cursor at the end of the spaceful line,

• you can go beyond the margin but not off the page

• I remember having this issue before (years ago)

• If I turn off "delete spaces at line ends in autocorrect options, it gets worse :)
now you can go with the cursor, using the right arrow.. way beyond margin and page border.... you can go as far as you want, without having to "type" spaces there beforehand...

• when this option is active, you can only go as far as you have "filled" the row with spaces using the space bar :)

|| important ||

• if I use space and tab alternating, the line will break perfectly like normal at the margin...
