Description D.Bugger 2023-12-04 11:15:07 UTC
Description:
Imagine an application that opens a LibreOffice template, fills it in with user data and to creates a PDF directly, without saving the ODT file. The template contains its own name and release date in the Custom Properties.

I'd like to see these Custom Properties also in the exported PDF file.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Add some custom properties to a file.
2. Export to PDF
3. Check the PDF's custom properties: they are empty...

Actual Results:
No custom properties are exported.

Expected Results:
Export all custom properties to the PDF, maybe depending on an options setting.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

D. Bugger, thank you for reporting the bug. Where do you see custom properties of a PDF or why do you think, that custom properties in a PDF-Viewer have the same meaning than in LO?

Document Properties window

Hallo Dieter, thanks for replying.
The attachment contains the Document Properties window for a PDF file produced using either OpenOffice or LibreOffice. So, somehow, Custom Properties in a PDF file seem to be possible. Why should they not have the same meaning as in LO??

I confirm it with

Version: 24.2.2.2 (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community
Build ID: d56cc158d8a96260b836f100ef4b4ef25d6f1a01
CPU threads: 4; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 19045; UI render: Skia/Raster; VCL: win
Locale: de-DE (de_DE); UI: en-GB
Calc: CL threaded

Steps:
1. Add custom properties to a writer document (file -> Properties -> Custom Properties)
2. Export as PDF
3. Open properties tab in PDF viewer (I've used Adobe Acrobat Reader)

Actual result:
No entries

Expected result:
Entries from writer
