PowerPoint screenshot.

Seems to me the issue is on PowerPoint side, not being able to open properly the file in odp format, saving as pptx with LibreOffice opens fine with PowerPoint.

I have tested saving different odp version and the issue it's the same.

OnlyOffice opens the ODP without problem, showing the diagrams.

Online Office 365 opens the ODP with the blue background and top-right logo, but no pictures or diagrams.
File save as PPTX opens fine in online Office 365.

The ODF validator throws errors for three format extensions:
* loext:opacity
* loext:graphic-properties
* drawooo:enhanced-path

Regina, any thoughts? Is this simply "not our bug"?

The automatic format detection of the validator does not work. You need to select the format manually. The file is valid "OASIS ODF 1.3 (extended confirming)".

MS Office is not able to use elements and attributes in loext or other namespaces special for LibreOffice. If you want to create an odp-file usable by foreign applications, you need to store it in "ODF 1.3", not in "ODF 1.3 extended".

When saving the file in "ODF 1.3", the saved file is valid according validator. Nevertheless, PowerPoint does not read the images. For me it is a "not our bug" issue.

Thank you Regina for your comments!

I can confirm that the attached ODP (resaved from original sample, using ODF 1.3 _not extended_) does pass the validator as conformant with the spec.

Regardless, opening in online Office 365 still does not display the pictures or text boxes (while OnlyOffice does).

Let's close as "not our bug", recommending to report the issue to MS Office.

David, something that might matter: was the sample saved as ODP directly from Office? Or saved as PPTX from MS Office, then opened in LO and saved as ODP?
Comment 9 david.vantyghem 2024-01-02 17:38:27 UTC
The sample saved as PPTX from MS Office, then opened in LO and saved as ODP.

JUMO company send it to me as a MS Office file, I want to convert and publish it as LibreOffice file but some people that are using MS Office can't use it after conversion, it's blank.

Thank you.
If you provide the original PPTX file, we might be able to investigate some more (for example, if the LO export changes in a specific version).
But it still feels like an issue with how MS Office imports it.
