I have the impression that this is not so much a bug report but rather a question that should better be posted at <https://ask.libreoffice.org>. I could be wrong. If I am indeed wrong and this is not a question (e.g. "How to change the size of the cell? Or, Why is the size of the cell not bigger?) but an actual report of a bug, then please follow the next steps. Please use the link "Add an attachment" in the web page of this report bug 158643 to attach a sample ods file that includes the problem. Please be aware that the file will be publicly available. I'm not sure I understand the steps that you take that are seemingly failing; but let's see first the sample ods file.
