Description:
I'm trying to activate Languagetool.
I put https://api.languagetool.org/v2 into the field Base URL under tools>options>languagetool server - and activate the enable languagetool checkbox - then I go to tools>options>writing aids and enable the Language tool remote grammar checker checkbox - apply, close. Languagetool is not activated. If I go back to tools>options>>writing aids the LanguageToll remote grammar checker checkbox is unchecked. repeat till it breaks your heart! It's on a Ubuntu 23.10 Machine - repository deb install

Steps to Reproduce:
1. go to tools>options>Language Settings>Languagetool Server
2. check Enable Languagetool
3. put https://api.languagetool.org/v2 in the field Base URL
4. press apply
5. goto tools>options>language settings>writing aids
6. check check LanguageTool remote Grammar Checker
7. press apply
8. close
9. reopen tools>options>Language Settings>writing aids
10. see LanguageToll Remote grammar checker checkbox is unchecked

Actual Results:
Languagetool doesn't activate

Language tool is activated - and works
