You can disable the undesired shortcuts. Not a bug for me. Instead use c9 and Alt+X. It's a cross-platform feature. See https://www.unicode.org/charts/charindex.html

Thanks for the unicode shortcuts, I didn't know about those. I guess I'll have to learn those if the bug isn't fixed. (Please pardon my English, I'm not a native speaker)

Please notice how this Alt+Number issue highlighted the usability problem in the dialog. Multiple users struggle with it, not realizing that there are several groups of shortcuts - managed by the radiobutton group on the top right corner; they suppose that the shortcuts shown to them initially is the exhaustive list. I suppose, it has an own bug report; but it needs attention IMO. There may be different approaches - e.g., using tabs. My preferred variant would be a new column in the list, with drop-down controls, where one could choose the scope of the shortcut.

Sounds wrong to me to have different path for customization. We have a lot hard-coded shortcuts that need more attention than the sidebar decks.

I might be unclear: I was not talking about these Alt-shortcuts; I meant the whole "LibreOffice-wide shortcuts vs. Writer-local shortcuts discoverability" problem.
