before the bug happened, I was changing the ui to single toolbar. after i was done, i started adjusting the scale below the toolbar. however, after that writer stopped responding to touchpad scrolling. other libreoffice are still working fine. here is the system info: Version: 7.6.4.1 (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community Build ID: e19e193f88cd6c0525a17fb7a176ed8e6a3e2aa1 CPU threads: 12; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 22631; UI render: Skia/Vulkan; VCL: win Locale: en-IN (en_IN); UI: en-US Calc: CL threaded
just learned from my sister that the issue was since a week. scrolling is sometimes working, sometimes not. other apps are working as usual.
Please test in safe mode, Menu/Help/Restart in Safe Mode
(In reply to m_a_riosv from comment #3) > Please test in safe mode, Menu/Help/Restart in Safe Mode I checked with safe mode: reset to facatory settings with all the checkboxes checked. it didn't worked for some reason. (btw: i used temp mail for creating the issue, and promptly forgot its password; so i have to reply from a new account)

Test repairing the installation, on the system 'Add and remove programs'
(In reply to m_a_riosv from comment #6) > Test repairing the installation, on the system 'Add and remove programs' i downloaded libreoffice again from its website. gone to windows app setting, clicked on modify, after which i tried both removing libreoffice and repairing it. neither worked.
Does this happen with any LibreOffice application?
(In reply to m_a_riosv from comment #8) > Does this happen with any LibreOffice application? just with libreoffice writer. all other libreoffice apps and libreoffice main app (where all the previous document are shown) work fine.
Maybe there is some parameter in the touchpad driver, that affects. Just in case, test modifying Menu/Tools/Options/LibreOffice/View - Graphics output, deactivating/modifying skia options.
For what it's worth, not reproduced on Linux with a Tuxedo N230WU touchpad. Version: 7.6.4.1 (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community Build ID: e19e193f88cd6c0525a17fb7a176ed8e6a3e2aa1 CPU threads: 8; OS: Linux 5.15; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3 Locale: en-AU (en_AU.UTF-8); UI: en-US Calc: threaded Can you share which hardware you use? It could matter here. Does it only happen after switching to the single toolbar UI? And what do you mean by "adjusting the scale below the toolbar"?
Not reproduced on windows 11 Version: 7.6.4.1 (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community Build ID: e19e193f88cd6c0525a17fb7a176ed8e6a3e2aa1 CPU threads: 12; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 22631; UI render: Skia/Raster; VCL: win Locale: fr-FR (fr_FR); UI: fr-FR Calc: CL threaded

I tried it. Touchpad still not worked. And what do > you mean by "adjusting the scale below the toolbar"? my hardware specs: Processor AMD Ryzen 5 5500U with Radeon Graphics 2.10 GHz Installed RAM 8.00 GB (5.85 GB usable) System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor no, it started before i switched to single toolbar. by scale i meant the thing with all its number just below toolbar. however, changing the "scale" is not the cause of this bug. new info about the bug: i am unable to scroll with a touchpad in a single page doc. however, in a doc with multiple pages, when i try scrolling it jumps to the next or previous page. should i create a recording of this bug and post it here?
forgot to add device model: lenovo ideapad 1 15alc7
I wasn't able to reproduce this behavior in Version: 24.8.0.0.alpha0+ (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community Build ID: a2265e8faa099d9652efd12392c2877c2df1d1eb CPU threads: 8; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 19045; UI render: default; VCL: win Locale: en-US (en_US); UI: en-US Calc: threaded or Version: 24.2.1.2 (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community Build ID: db4def46b0453cc22e2d0305797cf981b68ef5ac CPU threads: 8; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 19045; UI render: default; VCL: win Locale: en-US (en_US); UI: en-US Calc: threaded I'm running Windows 10.
What is your Windows setting in Control Panel > Mouse Properties > Wheel > Vertical Scrolling? Are you using "One screen at a time"? You might be seeing bug 42794.
