With

Version: 24.8.0.0.alpha0+ (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community
Build ID: aa6d11771d085803cdb811579f47debc30c4d94b
CPU threads: 4; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 19045; UI render: Skia/Raster; VCL: win
Locale: de-DE (de_DE); UI: en-GB
Calc: CL threaded

import took almost 34 seconds. I agree, that this is too long.

With
Version: 5.4.7.2 (x64)
Build-ID: c838ef25c16710f8838b1faec480ebba495259d0
CPU-Threads: 4; BS: Windows 6.19; UI-Render: GL;
Gebietsschema: de-DE (de_DE); Calc: CL

I got 29 seconds (so better but not really good)

If I select "html format without comments" as paste method, I got 14 seconds, which sounds OK to me.
