Description Carolus 2024-01-29 16:30:35 UTC
Computer HP ZBOOK 15G i7 16GB RAM, OS linux MINT 21.3, LO 7.6.4.1 (bug is in a previous version too)
Spreadsheet with 2 columns of 20 rows used. Column A contains 1 .. 20, column B contains 51 .. 70,
cell C1 contains 100.
I want to add the number in C1 to each engaged cell of A and B. I do this column after column.
Procedure:
Select column A, right click in the field with letter A, choose copy.
Select column E, right click in the field with letter E, choose paste.
Select cell A1, type =, select E1, type +, select C1, go to the field in the bar where the result is shown and place $ signs before C and 1. Hit Enter. The correct result shows up in cell A1.
Select A1 and draw downwards with the mouse to A20. Now the correct sum of the original numbers in column A and C1 shows up.
Select column B, right click in the field with letter B, choose copy.
Select column E, right click in the field with letter E, choose paste.
Now the new content of column A is summed with content the column E.
This is weird!
At the moment that column B is chosen the summing action in column A had to stop.

This is not a bug, unless the description has some typo such as the specific column selected before each action.

Formula in A1 cell is =E1+$C$1.
If do you paste 51 in E1 cell, you will get 151.
Paste your data in column B in F, not in E.
