Please post your Help -> About 'Version Information' details to include your os and the Desktop environment

Also, please verify that you have Tools -> Options -> View appearance mode set to 'System' and Tools -> Options -> Application Colors automatic set to 'System Theme'

And finally that you do not have a Tools -> Options -> Personalization LibreOffice themes set to one of the Preinstalled UI themes (those are all hopelessly broken).

libreoffice math, black fonts in dark background

There is no way to fix the problem. No way to set the proper color of fonts which should be white in dark background.

Can not confirm on Windows builds 7.6.4, 24.2.0 or master against 24.8.0

Seems like issues of see also bug 90297 and dupes, did something slip for the gtk3 VCL?

I tried with LO 7.6 and 24.2 both on Ubuntu (gtk3) and Kubuntu (kf5) and I could not reproduce the problem.

Do you have any theme installed on your machine?

No extra themes are installed. I use the default Linux Mint's dark theme. So, if you can't reproduce the problem must be something with linux mint's settings... Strange. I have no similar problems with other applications... Only libre math...

Mint-Y Dark theme (among the standards Mint's dark themes) was the culprit.

Once I used adwaita-dark (among the standards also), problem was solved.

Thanks for the info, you helped me find the culprit. This was very strange...

Multiple reddit threads suggest the Mint-Y flat theme flavors have issues signaling their color themes.
