Can not confirm on Windows builds 7.6.4, 24.2.0 or master against 24.8.0 Seems like issues of see also bug 90297 and dupes, did something slip for the gtk3 VCL?
I tried with LO 7.6 and 24.2 both on Ubuntu (gtk3) and Kubuntu (kf5) and I could not reproduce the problem. Do you have any theme installed on your machine?

No extra themes are installed. I use the default Linux Mint's dark theme. So, if you can't reproduce the problem must be something with linux mint's settings... Strange. I have no similar problems with other applications... Only libre math...

Mint-Y Dark theme (among the standards Mint's dark themes) was the culprit. Once I used adwaita-dark (among the standards also), problem was solved. Thanks for the info, you helped me find the culprit. This was very strange...
Multiple reddit threads suggest the Mint-Y flat theme flavors have issues signaling their color themes. IMHO ==> NOB
