Created attachment 192425 [details] Sample ODT with Inline Fractions[LO24.2.0] Attaching sample ODT with your 3 example equations/text. > The problem comes with new LO 24.2 I suspect previous version of LO (7.6), it worked fine? (Which version were you last using where it worked?) - - - I confirm my Writer ODT looks like your screenshot in: Version: 24.2.0.3 (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community Build ID: da48488a73ddd66ea24cf16bbc4f7b9c08e9bea1 CPU threads: 8; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 22631; UI render: Skia/Vulkan; VCL: win Locale: en-US (en_US); UI: en-US Calc: CL threaded - - - To find these maths options in Writer, go to: - Tools > Options - LibreOffice Writer > Formatting Aids and under "Layout Assistance", you'll see: - Math baseline alignment Right now, under LO 24.2.0, turning it ON or OFF made no difference. - - - Note #1: I also recreated the same exact text in LibreOffice Math, and it does look like it's properly "vertically centering/aligning" the fractions+text+variable there.
Created attachment 192426 [details] Inline Fractions Aligning in LO Math 24.2.0 In LO Math, you'd type: > {1 over 10} "and" {10 over x} "and" vec{u}. (See attached PNG of results.) I suspect that's how Writer's text USED to look/align? So: - the "fraction lines" would align with the middle of the "and". - the bottom of "u-hat" would align with the bottom of "and".
I tried with LO 7.6.4.1 and it works fine. Version: 7.6.4.1 (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community Build ID: e19e193f88cd6c0525a17fb7a176ed8e6a3e2aa1 CPU threads: 2; OS: Windows 6.1 Service Pack 1 Build 7601; UI render: Skia/Raster; VCL: win Locale: fr-FR (fr_FR); UI: fr-FR Calc: threaded
Let's put back Writer and indicate it's a regression since it was ok in 7.6.4 Also since it's been reproduced by someone else, let's put this one to NEW.
(In reply to Dorange-Pattoret Didier from comment #5) > I tried with LO 7.6.4.1 and it works fine. Fantastic. Thanks. :) So definitely a regression. Since it happened very recently, hopefully it'll get found/squished fast. Great catch. :) (In reply to Julien Nabet from comment #6) > Also since it's been reproduced by someone else, let's put this one to NEW. Thanks, Julien.
Same problem under Mac Version: 24.2.0.3 (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community Build ID: da48488a73ddd66ea24cf16bbc4f7b9c08e9bea1 CPU threads: 4; OS: macOS 14.2.1; UI render: Skia/Metal; VCL: osx Locale: fr-FR (fr_FR.UTF-8); UI: fr-FR Calc: threaded
