Description: According to my personal experience in Libre and Word Office Previewing fonts in Libre is font by font, and this is impractical. I can't change the fonts directly in Libre, but in Word the fonts is changed directly by dragging the middle mouse button. Libre doesn't show the characteristics of Arabic calligraphy, and the shape of the fonts in Word is much more beautiful than its appearance in Libre. Arabic fonts in Libre look formal not artistic. There are also problems with the Arabic and English alignment with menus and emojis. Working according to styles is excellent, but first the user needs to quickly preview the fonts before setting the default styles. Libre can be used for simple personal use, but if you are working on it, it will not serve you. The application becomes slow in working and scrolling when the number of pages increases I hope LibreOffice developers pay attention to the above problems. I will look to resolve the issues in the next updates, thank you very much. Actual Results: ؟؟؟ Expected Results: ؟؟؟ Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: ؟؟؟
You can try with the latest version 24.2, a lot of things have change from 7.4
See also bug 158069, but IMHO this is a dupe. Little to do with specifics of Western/CTL/CJK locale more about the dynamic reflow/preview of a text selection (or an applied style) on document canvas when selecting a font.
No reply from reporter, so let's assume duplicate status is fine. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 158069 ***
