Description hhfn 2024-02-29 13:34:45 UTC
Description:
It was intended to include some symbols or emoticons in a typed text by using the "Replace - With" function of the AutoCorrect -Tool within its Sub-Menu.
When trying to chose any item the submenu window extends simultaneously when moving the mouse pointer or using "arrow-up" / "arrow-down" keys.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. reported behavior occurs with tested language setting in English (UK) and German
2. click through main menu bar ->Tools ->AutoCorrect ->AutoCorrect Options
3. any action under submenu "Replace". "Exeptions" or "Options" => when moving mouse pointer or choosing menu item with keyboard arrow-keys "up" or "down" the AutoCorrect-windows gets bigger and bigger.

Actual Results:
When trying to choose a certain symbol or emoticon the AutoCorrect-window expands and overruns the size of the computerscreen quickly. One can close this submenu-window finally just by using the Escape-key or via command "close / schließen" underneath the three lines button within the upper left.

Expected Results:
Instead of permanent increase of the AutoCorrect-Window it should be possible to chose the requested items easily. AND: It would be nice if one can enlarge the chosen symbols for better view.

Reproducible: Always

Can't confirm current Windows build of master against 24.8, the Autocorrect window does not grow/change in size in response to mouse of cursor key movements.

Just started a 2nd search and found Bug 151452:
-->  https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=151452
The strange behavior of the AutoCorrect sub-window seems to be a specific Linux problem?

CPU threads: 16; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 19045; UI render: Skia/Vulkan; VCL: win
