File with inserted Date/Time field

On open, document with an inserted date/time field is updated with *new* date/time as expected. When closed without any editing, system does not ask whether changes (to date/time) and therefore to document should be saved or not.
Comment 1 Naresh 2024-03-07 04:44:16 UTC
I tried to replicate this and was unable to.

Steps followed:

1) Open a new document
2) Give heading
3) Insert-> Field -> Date
4) Insert-> Field -> Date
5) close the document

Result, "Save Document?" POP up appears.

In the document provided by the reporter, the date and time changes, but we are not asked if we want to save or not.

This is the expected behavior. It's a field, so every time you open the document, its content will be updated, but the document is not changing, only the field
