When inserting an image on page 2 and clicking upon it, in order to enlarge it, the scroller position jumps 3/4 of a page upwards. I am always am embarrased by this behaviour.

Attached you will find the positioning before click and the position afterwards.

You need an image on first page and an image on second. Then scroll and then click.

Yes, I do it. Please test it with newer version. If the bug still occurs, attach test file. Thanks.

Hello Jens-D Doll,

I'm unable to reproduce the bug you're stating on MacOS Sonoma 14.1.2 on my ARM64 MacBook Pro. If you haven't already, try testing it on a newer build. These are the two builds I tested it on:

Stable Build
Version: 24.2.1.2 (AARCH64) / LibreOffice Community
Build ID: db4def46b0453cc22e2d0305797cf981b68ef5ac
CPU threads: 10; OS: macOS 14.1.2; UI render: Skia/Metal; VCL: osx
Locale: en-US (en_US.UTF-8); UI: en-US
Calc: threaded

Master/Daily Build
Version: 24.8.0.0.alpha0+ (AARCH64) / LibreOffice Community
Build ID: c4023d3ec604abfff38be2053e2989c7ec2ba8c1
CPU threads: 10; OS: macOS 14.1.2; UI render: Skia/Metal; VCL: osx
Locale: en-US (en_US.UTF-8); UI: en-US
Calc: threaded

I can reproduce by following these steps:
1. Open attachment 193238 [details]
2. Click on first image
3. Scroll to start seeing some of the top of the second image
4. Click second image
Result: viewport jumps to have the top of the image at the top of the viewport.
It does not happen if step 2 is skipped (i.e. if the cursor is in a paragraph on the page)
The same happens with e.g. shapes.

I believe this is the exact same issue as bug 49259. Difference is that in that report, the use case of the right click in used to demonstrate how problematic the jump is.
