Created attachment 193345 [details] Pivot Table with 3 Row Fields text+text+date and 1 Column Fie +++ This bug was initially created as a clone of Bug #160396 +++ PRECONDITION: a Pivot Table with 3 Row Fields and 1 Column Field (see attached Pivot-Spielergebnisse-3RowSorted1Col.ods which is Pivot-Spielergebnisse-3Row1Col.ods from #160396 with Row Fields re-sorted) Row Fields from left to right now: Spiel (text), Name (text), Datum (date) Column Field: Platzierung PROBLEM DESCRITION: if "Spiel" Row Field's settings is changed to Compact layout, then the combined column for Row Field Spiel+Name shows only Spiel values the entries for the 2nd Row Field "Name" are missing (Compact layout presumably only works with date/time values in the 1st Row Field) Version: 24.2.1.2 (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community Build ID: db4def46b0453cc22e2d0305797cf981b68ef5ac CPU threads: 2; OS: Linux 5.4; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3 Locale: en-US (de_DE.UTF-8); UI: en-US Calc: threaded
I don't believe it is possible to "change to compact layout" in LO, the feature is supported on import of an XSLX created with MS Office. (bug 155089) Do you have a version of the file with compact layout, which you could attach? Or do you mean something else by "compact layout"?

(dialog Pivot Table Layout) - double click on Row Field "Name" (dialog Data Field) - Options... (dialog Data Field Options) - Display Options Layout: select Compact layout ==> the layout is as expected: Compact however (this bug 160397): if not all 3 Row fields are set to Compact, then the Row field is missing some data values
