Version: 7.6.5.2 (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community Build ID: 38d5f62f85355c192ef5f1dd47c5c0c0c6d6598b CPU threads: 16; OS: Linux 5.10; UI render: default; VCL: kf5 (cairo+xcb) Locale: de-DE (de_DE.UTF-8); UI: en-US Calc: threaded Hi, in the latest Getting Started Guide (7.3) https://books.libreoffice.org/en/GS73/GS7315-KeyboardShortcuts.html Shift+F2 is documented as: "Turns on Extended Tips for the currently selected command, icon or control. The shortcut does not work with the online help." So my guess is that Shift+F2 is an alternative to hovering over a UI control, intended for keyboard navigation. To reproduce: * Display some UI elements with extended tips, such as the print dialog. * Navigate to an element with extended tip, e.g. the "Pages" entry field. * Hit Shift+F2. Observation: Nothing happens. Expectation: The tooltip of the "Pages" field shows up, as if invoked by hovering the mouse pointer above the control. Note: I *do* have local help files installed, I get extended tips when hovering over UI elements that have them, such as in the print dialog (Ctrl+P). Regards, Tyler
I can't confirm with Version: 24.2.2.2 (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community Build ID: d56cc158d8a96260b836f100ef4b4ef25d6f1a01 CPU threads: 4; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 19045; UI render: Skia/Raster; VCL: win Locale: de-DE (de_DE); UI: en-GB Calc: CL threaded Additional information It also works (with keyboard), if "Extended Tips" is deselected in Tools -> Options -> LibreOffice -> General Tyler, is the problem still present with LO 24.2 and with a clean user profile? => NEEDINFO
