Started LibreOffice on Mac mini (m2 processor) OS Sonoma 14.4.1 Requested new writer document Document opened with text entry point at top of page (no top margin) but with normal left indent format > page > layout: shows expected margin values as in my usual template settings. Attempt to change and apply or reset and apply has no effect on problem document or new document opening. closed LibreOffice, ran Mac disc first aid with no problem detected Reopen LibreOffice: no change Restart Mac and reopen LibreOffice: no change Open existing .dot document and it is normal. Save and close LibreOffice Reopen LibreOffice -- problem solved. DID NOT TOUCH OR REINSTALL LIBRE OFFICE Soul of old software manager says "Sounds like a broken link somewhere, hard to find and fix, low impact if not reported from many sources, put it on list with low urgency."
