Example file with different list styles

Currently the Spotlight option does not support highlighting List styles.

1. Open attached document
2. Go to the sidebar, Styles
-> There is no Spotlight box on the List styles tab.
There should be one, and it should highlight the "Aliquam velit massa" and "Vestibulum ante ipsum primis" paragraphs with different colors.

Also it should highlight the "He heard quiet steps behind him." paragraphs, those are not using a list style from the sidebar, but they were marked as numbered lists with the toolbar dropdown.

+1, reasonable enhancement building on previous Spotlight efforts

IMO an overkill to the feature. LS do not exist alone, and a proper formatting would be to attach different LS to different PS, which then are highlighted respectively.

The example does DF on the PS level, which is indicated per hatched background. Perhaps it could be more outstanding, if you haven't seen it.

Don't know. Showing just a cross hatch for a PS with applied differences (for an applied LS) is kind of subtle to follow what nested styling has been applied.

Also would note that in the attachment 193624 [details] the default PS of the first two list items with applied LS *not* direct formatting (done from the Ordered list TB dialog), i.e. 'Bullet' and 'Numbering 123' List styles applied. The final 3 list items have the 'lower case letter' list DF applied from TB dialog.

The difference between DF and applied List style are only apparent when placing cursor into the list item and moving to the Stylists' 'List Style' panel. Reviewing the Applied styles.

Why should List styles be handled differently from Character styles, that is to say provide a Spotlight feature for the List styles content panel.

I guess the same could be said for Frame, List and even Table styles--only the Page style probably wouldn't benefit from a Spotlight feature.

Agree with Heiko here

-1 from my side

Let's resolve this as WF: spotlight is limited to text styles (PS, CS, and DF). And, if necessary, handle the too subtle hatching in a different topic.
