Description Nick McQuade 2024-04-12 15:36:59 UTC
Description:
When the GUI is set to a dark appearance, I see this strange image retention glitch. It is most noticeable in the Preferences pane, but if I resize toolbars when working on a document, it'll show remnants of that toolbar as well. When browsing through the different settings tabs, it'll retain the previous pane in the background with the selected pane in the foreground. If I switch tabs again, whatever was the foreground will become the background, et cetera. Light mode works normally.

I've tried playing around with the Skia rendering settings, reinstalling LO 24.2, installing 7.5 and 7.6 as well. It happens across all versions. My 2018 Mac mini and M1 MacBook Pro don't seem to show the same issue, however. I don't think it's hardware-related since this is the only app I've had trouble with on this machine. Attempted starting LO in Safe Mode, issue still persists.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. With the dark appearance enabled, go to LibreOffice > Preferences from the macOS menu bar.
2. Click through preference tabs to view other settings, and the issue will present.

Actual Results:
Previously-selected settings will become visible in the background of the window as a "ghost" image, which is abnormal behaviour.

Expected Results:
The window should display a simple black background behind the window elements, and not a "ghost" image.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: Yes

Thanks for your reply. As per my Description and Additional Info, I've tested versions from 7.5 to 24.2.2.2, the latter of which (I believe) is the latest version available.
