Description greybeard38@gmail 2024-04-18 03:02:07 UTC
Description:
I create a multi page spreadsheet and export it as a PDF. The pages are all visible within the PDF however, when I print the PDF, the document becomes one long page. I have tried printing previous versions of documents that originally printed well and now become one long document. One page

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Create a multi page calc document
2.Export as a PDF
3.Print it

Actual Results:
PDF pages become one long one when the docuent is printed. Appears like page breaks are not created when printed

Expected Results:
Expexted the document (PDF) would produce printed sheets and it printed one long document without page breaks

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
Page breaks should appear in PDF

When reading the description it seems to be a problem of printing a PDF document.

You exported the file to PDF.
You opened the file in a PDF-viewer.
It is shown right in PDF-viewer.
It is printed wrong in PDF-viewer?

An example as attachment is needed here. Without it looks like it isn't a LO problem but a problem of the printing with PDF viewer.

There is a distinct possibility I don't totally understand what is happening.
I have been generating a PDF from a 5 page calc ODS file. Until recently, I created the spreadsheet of 5 pages, using Libre Office and then exported it as a PDF from within LO which I sent to a number of people.
Since around the beginning of March this year, I heard back from some receiving the document that they could not print it, it was very small and unreadable. I noticed when I looked at the pdf, it seemed ok to me until I tried to print it. In the print preview, the page breaks were gone and instead of 5 pages, there was now only one and it scrolled off the page. I looked at re installing and printing in different ways. I opened an old ods file, exported it as a pdf (which I had done previously) and the print preview created one page. This was done previously and worked fine. I recently used an on line conversion site and sent the ODS file there and had it sent back as a PDF and printed 5 pages ok.
For some reason, it appears the page breaks are removed when I export the ODS in LO starting around early March, creating an unreadable printed document.
Thanks for the speedy response!!!
Richard

I got your email with the option "Export as whole sheet" and that was set. Unset it and I am now back to where I wanted to be
Thank you very much.
I am adding this to my previous reply and hope it works.
