Description Mihai Vasiliu 2024-05-21 13:47:47 UTC
Description:
When you are editing a Chart object, opening the Properties sidebar panel will result in then panel not being visible.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create a Chart object from some data in the spreadsheet or open the attached sample file.
2. Make sure that NO sidebar panel is open. Close any open panel if there is one open.
3. Double-click inside the Chart object to enter edit mode. The toolbar will change to reflect the available edit options for the Chart object.
4. Click on the Properties sidebar panel button to open the Properties page.

Actual Results:
The Properties panel title is visible and the hide arrow at the middle of the panel as well, but the panel contents itself is not visible.
-- see attached image.

Expected Results:
The Properties panel should open normally and all contents should be visible.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
This does not reproduce in Ubuntu 24.04. Only reproducible in Windows.

As a workaround, you can click outside the Chart object, the Properties panel will show up. Then clicking again in the Chart object will keep the properties panel visible.

The same bug affect both Writer and Impress if you insert a Chart and follow the same steps. It is not specific to Calc.

Unfortunately this bug is still present. Let's concentrate the discussion in the original ticket.
