Description: I am experiencing a persistent issue with Collabora Office where there is a noticeable lag when scrolling through documents and spreadsheets. This lag occurs in all documents I have loaded, making it difficult to navigate from page to page smoothly. The problem is consistent and affects both text documents and spreadsheets. Version: 23.05.10.1 (X86_64) Build ID: 17467f5956a13c5fcee27507ea60d15cdda473ed CPU threads: 4; OS: Mac OS X 12.7.5; UI render: Skia/Raster; VCL: osx Locale: en-GB (en_GB.UTF-8); UI: en-GB Calc: threaded Steps to Reproduce: 1.Under Preferences --> View 2. to check everything under Graphics Output´ EXCEPT ´hardware acceleration´ Actual Results: better scrolling but not smooth instead of a lag. Expected Results: smooth scrolling Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: Require to fix this for better and smoother scrolling.
Hi Hans; can you see if the issue continues with LibreOffice 24.2 ? we should release a new version on Mac in the next weeks that is based on that. Thanks!
(In reply to Michael Meeks from comment #1) > Hi Hans; can you see if the issue continues with LibreOffice 24.2 ? we > should release a new version on Mac in the next weeks that is based on that. > Thanks! Hi MM, yes, I have downloaded the 24.2 version and test it with a few different files, small and large and also from different formats. I have noticed that opening a large DOCX format, it successfully crashed the programme. Nevertheless, opening another ODT & ODS it much smoother, but not as silk. Comment: when zooming in and out, it uses the curser as a reference instead of the mouse location. When curser is not insight, then it uses top left of the page as the reference and not the mouse. However, in PDF format files, it uses the mouse pointer as the reference.
Hi Hans If the issue is reproduced in Collabora Office but not in LibreOffice, please open a report on the Collabora Office tracker. There are other scroll perf reports for macOS that could be related, e.g. bug 103864 and bug 155036. Are you able to attach sample documents, for others to test?
