Description Jens-D Doll 2024-05-30 06:50:16 UTC
When I create a frame and set the anchor to char or paragraph the frame is not resizable, but if I anchor it to the page it is resizable.

A screencast of resize working

Please provide the *exact* steps that you do, together with the complete version info from Help->About, as well as your system info.

In the attached screencast, I do some simple insertion of a frame, anchor it to paragraph and to character, and resize it, which works fine. So either you do something different (and that needs detailed explanation to see the problem), or you maybe use some version having a problem that isn't present in my version.

simple text with frame
Comment 3 Jens-D Doll 2024-05-30 08:14:42 UTC
I did the following:

position cursor to a paragraph in the middle
menu insert->frame->frame
tab borders, chose the one with only left side, set thickness to 1.5

afterwards the frame was inserted and is nor resizable, see sample file!

A screencast

Unfortunately, you didn't provide any steps, only a document. Here is my screencast using the provided document, which, again, seems working.
Comment 5 Jens-D Doll 2024-05-30 08:16:14 UTC
correction:

the frame is not resizable in height, only in width!

Ah - I see, our posts crossed. Nevertheless, it seems working here, and you still didn't provide the full information from Help->About (which includes other useful info, not only the version number).

Try a current version (24.2.3.2 is the current version that I used for testing).
FTR: I checked with 7.5.0 (not exactly the version you used), and resizing it still worked for me. But 7.5 is not supported, so testing it is not useful.

The bug also exists in 7.6.7.2

Cant resize the height.

Only after resizing the width the height becomes resizable.

I still can't reproduce - neither in your sample file, nor by following steps from comment 3. I tried using 7.6.0.3, too. I tried to only change height, in both directions (upwards, and downwards), without previously changing width.

Maybe others will be more lucky to repro.

The inner selectors of the frame do not work; the outer ones at the corners work.

I tried this:

file->new
insert->frame->frame
presss OK
now try to drag the frame down with the middle selector of the lower frame edge
it jumps back to original height
