Description roumanet 2024-05-30 09:11:15 UTC
Description:
LibreOffice

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Creating a new Draw/Impress/Writer document
2.Saving document (first save)
3.Interface still change mouse icon but window still freeze. It's still possible to use old style menu.
4. Clicking menu Window -> New Window is ok (could work again on this window and close the old one)

Actual Results:
Cannot work anymore, I must leave then restart

Expected Results:
Save done and interface still usable.

Reproducible: Sometimes

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
It's like refresh after saving isn't possible
But more strange, when loading document, new click on save button don't freeze the interface. It's something between dialog menu and bavk to LibreOffice...

I am experiencing this same bug with Libre Office 24.2.2.2. I'm happy to provide any information that might help the developers fix this.

Version: 24.2.2.2 (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community
Build ID: 420(Build:2)
CPU threads: 16; OS: Linux 6.8; UI render: default; VCL: kf6 (cairo+xcb)
Locale: en-US (en_US.UTF-8); UI: en-US
Calc: threaded

I was only able to reproduce this on Plasma 6, not the Budgie desktop environment (on Linux).

When launching from command line, I see this output after the freeze:

❯ libreoffice --calc

qt.core.qobject.connect: QObject::connect: No such signal Solid::Backends::Fstab::FstabStorageAccess::repairRequested(QString)
qt.core.qobject.connect: QObject::connect: No such signal Solid::Backends::Fstab::FstabStorageAccess::repairDone(Solid::ErrorType, QVariant, QString)
kf.kio.filewidgets.kfilefiltercombo: Could not find file filter
QAbstractAnimation::pause: Cannot pause a stopped animation

This is probably bug 160565. Please let us know if you can still reproduce in the upcoming 24.2.4 release, or feel free to test a daily build.
Thank you!
