Description:
In preferences/application colors choose either automatic, system (my sistem has dark as default)
Open the attached document. Most character styles are clearly visible except one: Footnote_ and some paragraph styles are not visible such as Default:German.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.In preferences/application colors choose either automatic, system (my sistem has dark as default)
2.Open the attached document.

Actual Results:
Some paragraph styles and character styles not visible

Expected Results:
They should be visible

Thanks for the report. This issue is already tracked and has generated a bit of debate. Marking as duplicate of bug 137705, feel free to comment there if you have something to add.
As a workaround, you can try modifying these styles so they use Automatic instead of Black as their font colour.
