Description:
The following message appears whenever I try to open the LibreOffice app or when I click an existing doc or docx document, xls or .xlsx spreadsheet or .pdf file,

Message Subject line: LibreOffice 7.6

Message text:
"Either another instance of Libre Office is accessing your personal settings or your personal settings are locked.
Simultaneous access can lead to inconsistencies in your personal settings. Before continuing, you should make sure user 'myusername' closes LibreOffice on host 'My Mac-Mini.lan'.

Do you really want to continue?"

choice of "No" & "Yes" Radio Buttons

END OF MESSAGE WINDOW
'

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install LibreOffice Version: 7.6.4.1 (AARCH64
2. on Mac mini 2023 with Apple M2 Pro chipset w/16GB Memory. Startup disk = Macintosh HD. & MacOS: Sonoma 14.5 (23F79)

3.

Actual Results:
I have not proceeded beyond the above WARNING MESSAGE since I don't want to risk corrupting my working files.

I have happily run LibreOffice for many years on my ancient Intel iMac (mid 2011 model) without any issues.

Unfortunately, my migration to Apple silicon on the M2 MacMini Pro is proving unexpectedly challenging. I am not a technical specialist and am very reluctant to delve into modification of user profiles etc.

Expected Results:
I want to be able to open the LibreOffice app and open existing DOC, DOCX, XLS & XLSX feed for editing in the normal manner.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
Please advise what I should do next. Should I de-install the LibreOffice Software by simply dragging the app from the Applications Folder to the Trash Bin, are there any other actions that I should take before downloading a new LibreOffice DMG file? Which version of Libre Office should I download & install?

Thank you for your help & advice.

I have RESET the entire USER PROFILE to the factory settings which has resolved the reported issue.

The case can now be closed.
