Not reproduced on Ubuntu 22.04 + GNOME 42.9 with:

Version: 24.8.0.0.beta1+ (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community
Build ID: 1b61abc4451d38984338b750d85770ec9871060a
CPU threads: 8; OS: Linux 6.5; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3
Locale: en-AU (en_AU.UTF-8); UI: en-US
Calc: CL threaded

...installed from TDF debs.

A recent issue with dock / launcher icons is bug 125934.

- Related to Cinammon, we have bug 142012. Can you check if there is a difference with first window and subsequently opened windows?
- Is it really only affecting Impress?
- Wondering why your About dialog doesn't show all the version information?
- Are you on Wayland?

Would also be interesting to see if 24.2 installed from debs has the same issue (to compare apples to apples).

Bug 142012 comment 5 says: "I've recently seen this occur with BetterBird (the Thunderbird variant): Its icons for message composition windows and message display windows get mixed up on my Cinnamon desktop panel. Yet - other app icons don't exhibit this behavior. Perhaps it is somehow a Gtk-related issue?"

Óvári: have you seen this with other Gtk applications? Do you still see this with the final release of 24.8?

Stéphane's first question seems to be answered by attachment 195159 [details], the wrong icon is shown even for the first document.

Resolved with:
Version: 24.8.0.3 (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community
Build ID: 0bdf1299c94fe897b119f97f3c613e9dca6be583
CPU threads: 12; OS: Linux 6.8; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3
Locale: en-AU (en_AU.UTF-8); UI: en-US
Flatpak
Calc: threaded
Comment 9 Óvári 2024-08-26 23:50:44 UTC
Perhaps not resolved as now LO 24.8 is using Flatpak. The deb version may still be broken.
Comment 10 Stéphane Guillou (stragu) 2024-08-27 04:33:35 UTC
"works for me" as we don't haven't identified a commit.
Thanks, Óvári.
