Description:
I insert Pivot table in Calc and I tried to drag the items in row/data fields. The first drag succeeded, but when I drag the second field name Calc crashed. I tested, this happen only on Mac, not on Windows.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Insert Pivot Table
2. Drag field name - one in Row Fields, the second in Data Fields, or opposite.
3. The first drag is OK, the second cause the Calc crash.

Actual Results:
1.Insert Pivot Table
2. Drag field name - one in Row Fields, the second in Data Fields, or opposite.
3. The first drag is OK, the second not.

Expected Results:
Calc crashed and I am not able to insert Pivot Table.


Reproducible: Always


User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
Insert Pivot Table what can be done on Windows.

Same as in bug 161493, which is a dupe of bug 161461.

It should be solved in the next release.

Update: the fix for this bug is now available for Mac App Store version of LibreOffice:

If you bought LibreOffice in the Mac App Store, you can get the fix by opening the App Store application on your Mac and selecting the Store > Updates menu item.

Unfortunately, the fix is not yet available in an official release from the LibreOffice website. But a new LibreOffice version is expected to be released sometime later this month (July 2024). I will post an update when the LibreOffice website has the new version.

But the version available in AppStore is lower what I use.

I downloaded LO from AppStore. Pivot table works as it should. Thanks.

Thank you for confirming that the new Mac App Store version fixes the bug for you.

In case any other users who aren't using the Mac App Store version, LibreOffice 24.2.5.1 (a pre-release that contains the fix) now has the fix as well and it can be download from the following TDF website links:
